Ask The Realtor....

Many people call or email me with questions about the current market conditions or real estate in general, so I am starting a new feature on my website and in my ads where anyone can ask a question and have it answered. The question I was asked several times this week is "When should I put my house on the market?" This answer depends on many factors: 1. When do you want to move, and 2. How many homes are currently on the market that you would be competing against. If you want to move at the end of the school year, the ideal time to list if you live in a great school district is in the spring. If there are no homes similar to yours on the market, you will always fetch a higher price than if there are four comparable homes available, so ideally you should go on the market when the competition is light.
